Why Use Lithium Iron Phosphate?

Lithium iron phosphate is a chemical compound LiFePO₄ or “LFP” for short. LFP offers good electrochemical performance, low resistance and is one of the safest and most stable cathode materials available for lithium-ion batteries.

Safe and Stable LiFePO₄ batteries are best known for their strong safety profile, resulting from highly stable chemistry, which is something lead-acid, and most other battery types don’t have at the level LiFePO₄ does. In the experimental environment such as acupuncture and high temperature, when the traditional NCA/NCM battery deflagrates and catches fire, the lithium iron phosphate battery in the same environment only emits smoke slightly without any visible flame.
Unrivalled Longevity LiFePO₄ batteries can not only reach 3,000-5,000 cycles or more, they can reach 100% depth of discharge (DOD). Why does that matter? Because that means, with LiFePO₄ (unlike other batteries) you don’t have to worry about over discharging your battery. Also, you can use it for a longer period of time as a result. In comparison, lead acid batteries last only 300-400 cycles. The high-quality lithium iron phosphate batteries used in the mid-to-high-end power station of BLUETTI can reach 3,500 charge-discharge cycles.
Eco Friendly LiFePO₄ batteries are non-toxic, non-contaminating, and contain no rare earth metals, making them an environmentally conscious choice. However, NCA batteries contain nickel, cobalt; NCM batteries contain nickel, cobalt, manganese, the mining of these metals has caused damage to our environment.
